Parade + Baby = Busy, Busy, Busy!
June 30, 2008I have alway found it funny how things seem to stack up on the same day, week, or weekend. This weekend would be one of them. Last week I spent most of the week prepping for the Melrose Parade; designing and ordering fliers, ordering prints for the float, buying candy, washing the vehicle for the float, and the tending to all of the little things. Little did I know that one of my parade helpers would have her baby two weeks early and bring my new nephew into this world on the same weekend as the parade! So busy is kind of an understatement for this past weekend, but I have to say, it was all worth it.
This weekend was the Melrose RiverFest days and I participated in the parade on Saturday. There was a lot of people at the parade and I hope i will be getting a few calls from some of the families and seniors that attended. I want to thank my helpers for being such good drivers, candy throwers, and flier “hander-outers”! Thank you Dad, April, Aydree, Judy, and Amanda for all of your help this weekend. Also, thank you Krissy and Billy for letting me use your vehicle. I really can’t thank you enough!
Also, as I said, my sister Krissy and brother-in-law Billy now have a new little boy! My new nephew, Caiden Ryan Pflipsen, decided to come into the world a little early on Friday afternoon! He is a tiny little boy but already seems to be pretty strong and healthy. I can’t wait to photograph him and his mom and dad in the next few weeks! Below are a few shots I took of him the day before he got to go home.
- One of the very few times that I get on the other side of the Camera!
