Jayne, a fellow photographer, contacted me earlier this winter wanting photos of her and her fiance Matt. I was excited right away when she contacted me! She had a ton of great ideas, and I LOVE photographing other photographers and their loved ones. I met them in Clara City, the small town where Jayne has her studio – Jayne Priebe Photography. We had so much fun capturing who they are and what they are all about! Jayne and Matt are such a cute couple, and I was so honored to be able to spend a few hours with them! Although we all had cold fingers, noses, and toes when we were all done, I think it was worth it! Enjoy the photos, and leave Jayne + Matt a little comment love!

Adam Hommerding Photography has been blessed to work with great clients and communities throughout the last couple of years. We have been trying to find a way to give back to our clients and the communities they live in, and we though why not start with the local schools! We are so excited to officially launch our “Photos 4 Eduction” program!
This year we have two schools participating in the Adam HommerdingPhotography “Photos 4 Education” program – Sacred Heart School (Freeport) & St.Mary’s School (Melrose). For every session scheduled using the “Photos 4 Education” card, AHP will donate $25 to the participating school of your choice! Help us reach our $1500 annual donation goal for 2011, by picking up a card and scheduling a session with AHP! Our donations will give back to the great schools and students that are creating the future of our neighborhoods!
“Photos 4 Education” cards are available at both participating school’s annual dinner and auction events or at the school offices. Please contact Adam Hommerding Photography at 320.248.8902 with any additional questions!

A couple months ago I was contacted by The Minnesota Heart Gallery. The mission of the Minnesota Heart Gallery is to help children and teens living in foster care find permanent and commiteed families, and to raise community awareness of our shared responsibility to each of these youth. Minnesota Heart Gallery helps to restore a sense of belonging, dignity, and hope in the lives of children and teens who are in foster care. Minnesota Heart Gallery is a large network of social workers, volunteers, and photographers all trying to make a difference in these children’s lives!
I was very honored to be contacted by the Minnesota Heart Gallery to photograph a young boy who is currently in foster care in a community near me. The session was so much fun and very rewarding! I hope that by sharing my talents, this young boy can find a permanent home. I couldn’t imagine not having the support of my family, and knowing that the photos that I have taken just might give him what I have always taken for granted gives me a huge smile! Although I can’t post photos here of the young boy, I encourage you to visit the Minnesota Heart Gallery Fan Page as well as their website to see photos of the youth and to learn more about what Minnesota Heart Gallery is all about! My photos should be shared in both places shortly! I will be sure to keep everyone updated when they go up!
Here is a video about Ampersand Families, the great people who organize the Heart Gallery here in MN. I think this sums up what everything is about.
Thanks again for joining us today for the “Day of Blogging” event! Remember to leave a comment to WIN THE 25 CUSTOM HOLIDAY CARDS. Winner will be announced tomorrow on our Facebook Fan Page as well as here on the blog! I hope everyone was able to enjoy the photos and get a few of the deals along the way! Now I’m going to go eat some cake for my Mom’s birthday! Happy Birthday Mom, and happy Wednesday everyone!
I have know Amanda for many years since she is a neighbor to us out here at the lake! I photographed Amanda’s older brother, Robert, two years ago and now it was Amanda’s turn to show me what she’s got! Amanda has always been involved in gymnastics as long as I have known her! I knew she wanted to include it in her session, so we got a little creative, found a narrow alley way, and rocked out some of her moves! I really enjoyed working with Amanda. I love her photos, and I know they will eventually make it to my website too! Thanks again for choosing AHP Amanda! Enjoy the photos!
Last winter we donated a free session and 11×14 to the Sacred Heart School’s Dinner for Education auction. I was able to attend the event and see numerous people bid on the donation and see the lucky high bidder walk away with their certificate! That luck winner was Katelyn’s mom Deb and they used the free session for Katelyn’s senior photos!
I was very excited to see that Deb won the free session, since I have know their family for quite a few years. They are neighbors to my aunt and uncle and I played Sky Dome League softball with most of their kids! Crazy how long ago that seems and that Katelyn is already a senior!! Katelyn was a tropper the night of her session! It was HOT and sticky and the mosquitos were probably the worst I have ever had to deal with during a session! She battled it out with help from some OFF mosquito spray and we managed to get some great photos! Thanks Katelyn for choosing AHP! Good luck with your senior year!
